Backups for game servers are a paid add-on. Once you add a backup tier, your server is backed up automatically and you can make your own backups too.
Backup tiers:
- Basic: weekly automatic backups, 3 kept, up to 3 manual backups a day
- Standard: daily automatic backups, 7 kept, up to 10 manual backups a day
- Premium: automatic backups every 6 hours, 30 kept, up to 25 manual backups a day
How it works:
- Turn it on: Open your server's "Backups" tab and click "Choose a Backup Tier"
- What's covered: Your server's files, including worlds, configs, mods and plugins
- Offsite storage: Backups are stored separately from the game server itself
- Manual backups: Make one any time before risky changes (new mods, world edits, version upgrades)
- Restores and downloads: Restore or download any kept backup from the Backups tab
Without a backup tier, your server has no backups. Backups are a convenience, not a guarantee, so keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. See section 7 of our Terms of Service.
